A Little Bit About Me

*Note: Before you start reading, bear in mind that it's a very long profile to read. This is so that my profile is more or less self-explanatory rather than having to speak unnecessarily on this site when we are making decisions (I can be quite chatty once I'm comfortable, just so you would know :p). If you are rather an impatient person to read, I wish you well and do proceed to the next profile of interest. I honestly do want to waste anybody's time here. Just looking to complete the other half of my deen. In shaa Allah. May Allah make it easy for us all. Amin! :)

I'm a simple and a very basic, somewhat ordinary girl - dream of a simple, meaningful and peaceful blessed life, keeping Allah swt close to the heart... In sha Allah :)

Born & raised in KL, Malaysia. Did most of my early studies in KL, work for a good number of years in Malaysia and then move on to study and live in the UK for about 6 years. Now Allah has placed me back in Malaysia :)

Coming from a mixed parentage with my dad being a revert (Alhamdulillah), I love the idea of inter-cultural marriage because I believe it could enrich a person! I'm a huge fan of diversity. Having Muslim, Hindu, Christian and Buddhist relatives doesn't interfere with my faith... believe it or not it strengthens it! Alhamdulillah... :)

I would like to think that I have a good dunya-akhirah, east-west, city-village, modern-traditional balance about me. I'm down to earth but at the same time fun-loving (in halal and moderate manner that is! In sha Allah)

I believe that I am a balanced person in many ways and I would love to keep it that way and work on to improve in keeping that balance. In shaa Allah.

If you don't mind having a wife whose hobby involves reading, fitness and martial arts, nature, making voices, doing impersonations, photography (I'm an amateur, so... don't have high expectations! :p), cooking, crafts and travel... then read on!

Having said that... I'm not a great cook but I do cook based on inspiration... so I'd like my cooking to be inspired by you! ;) FYI, not big on curry and South Asian food though! ;)

If you are okay marrying a woman who is ambitious, visionary, strong-willed, self-sufficient, high-spirited, has a big heart, who is absolutely nuts about being a wife and a great mum, doesn't like shouting (trust me, it'll be more damaging for me than you if I do!), who doesn't quit once she starts something, overwhelms you with heap loads of love and care, a hopeless romantic and a joker... you're on the right track... read on if you are intrigued to know more... :)

I'm a little bit of a dreamer, an idealist, a soldier, a sensitive-sap, a perfectionist and a slob all in one. I'm pretty adamant with my principles and my way of life, deen-wise. Islam is VERY dear to me. Otherwise I'm a very adaptable person. A simple, rooted person who is a fun lover, as my moderate Islamic core would not let my wild side outshine who I truly want to be. May Allah accept my du'a. Amin! Not that I have been a wild person or anything like that! I may have grew up in a city, but I don't do clubbing, drinking, wild partying, drugs, etc... Alhamdulillah... Having said that, I'm in no position to say anything or look down on those who had a past that they might not be proud of. Every pious person has a past, every sinner has a future... I strongly believe that. In sha Allah :)

In terms of living life and my expectations of the future, I do have them pretty much laid out in hopes to achieve them. But then again, plans and dreams can only go so far. As Allah's plans are better than my dreams :) One can only pray :)

Marriage - Allah gave you the person you needed. And He gave you the brains to make that marriage work. What counts in marriage is not so much about how compatible you are, but how you deal with incompatibility. In sha Allah :)

What I Am Looking For
Someone like minded, somewhat similar and yet different...

A friend, a life long companion, my confidante, my one and only lover. Someone who could bring out the best in me and cares for my akhirah. If Allah wills it. A man, who is a responsible, loving, just leader and a faithful husband.

Someone who wants to have children and raise them in accordance to Islamic teachings, solely based on Quran and Sunnah. Someone who wants to improve himself especially deen-wise because I'm a very keen learner of the deen! (When comes the day where I couldn't join you to attend courses and lectures; i.e: when my time is tied to the children and what not, I wish for you to fill me in. In sha Allah... :) Deal?).

Someone who would be able to make du'a for me should Allah invite me to meet Him first...A man who is willing to overcome all the struggles that may come in our marriage. Most importantly a man who is responsible towards Allah, his parents, his family and to himself. In sha Allah :)

Character wise, he has to have a good sense of humour... if not great! I hate to be joking around a block of wood. If you get what I mean :) Reasonably strict, with a good anger management. Don't want to be chased around with a stick! Eek!

I'm truly in need of a man who is strong in character with a soft heart. A disciplined, non-chauvinist, has good morale, considerate, down to earth and yet adventurous. I like a man that warms to suggestions and new ideas, but at the same time has a mind of his own (the wife is not always right, ya know!). I'm willing to relocate to wherever my husband feels is best (with discussion of course) for us now and our family in the future. If Allah wills it. :) And if he has kept his beard or plans to keep one, it's a bonus! Ma sha Allah... And if you are all that, loves animals (this is a must!), a travel junkie, a nature-lover, enjoy being silly every now and then, and likes to play Tekken 6... I think I might have just hit a jackpot! So, write me already! :p

I know he is out there,somewhere... if Allah wills it. :)

p/s: No flirting please... and I would appreciate a simple request to view my photos with a message. Also, please have photos of yourself ready to be shared... it's only fair as I have mine uploaded.

NOTE: I take these very seriously... I would NOT consider brothers who:
- Doesn't keep his 5 daily prayers at least (no pray, no way)
- Is into Sufism and/or a Shia (no offence, but we won't be compatible deen-wise)
- Is a smoker (smoking is considered haram you know. And that means, NO VAPES either please...)
- Has a chauvinistic mentality and tied to cultures that are contradicting to Islamic teachings
- Is looking into having a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship before marriage (that only happens after marriage, insha Allah :) )
- Is self-centered and has double standards or have a "it's my way or the highway" attitude
- Waits until he is married to improve himself (deen-wise or personality-wise. I don't care about who you are or what you did in the past... it's who you are now and who you want to be is what's important. The change has to start with you)
- Thinks that I'm here for visa purpose... it's very insulting, I can tell you that! If you decide to live in Malaysia, it would be great! with proper discussion of course! ;)
- Doesn't respect women- no woman deserves to be a 'back up plan', a hitting pole, a punching bag nor a doormat
- Doesn't allow continuous Islamic growth and learning out of fear that the wife might be more knowledgeable (that's just silly ego if you ask me! :p)
- Likes to joke about polygamy and talaq (divorce)
- Wants a trophy-wife. I want a man who protects me and not to display me around! Men need to have gheerah in them...

Those who did ask about whether I'm willing to take off my hijab if my husband wishes so... the answer is straight NO! In the name of Allah s.w.t, a man is made as a protector for women. Allahu 'Alim.

"I believe that if some men would just stop trying to impress all women and simply focus on the physical and emotional needs of the one they are with, their lives would be far less expensive and much more fulfilling."
-Mr. Amari Soul (I think ALL men should stop it! :p)

I pray that Allah swt will choose for me someone who will be happiness for me as I were to him. Amin! I believe it is equally important to be a wife that's an apple to her husbands eye! :) I couldn't be a happier lady to know that my husband thanks Allah every time he sees and thinks of me! That would be my biggest achievement! If Allah wills it! :D Make me happy and I'll make you the happiest! In shaa Allah :)

Note: FYI, I basically know what I want in a spouse and I always refer to Allah to guide me when making decisions, In sha Allah. So, I'm not into those "hard-to-get" games. If I like, I'd say... vice versa! Straight-forward... no games! I want a man, not a boy who thinks he can... In sha Allah :)

Your soulmate is not someone that comes into your life peacefully. It is who comes to make you question things, who changes your reality, somebody that marks a before and after in your life. It is not the human being everyone has idealized, but an ordinary person, who manages to revolutionize your world in a second… Your soulmate is an imperfect person that you can love perfectly! :)

May Allah swt makes it easy for us and guide us all. Aamiin!
